Welcome to Navegante Group. In 1995, after nearly 30 years in the gaming and entertainment industry (including 11 years at Harrah’s, 11 years at Caesars and the last five as founding Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas) I decided to retire. Turns out retirement can be quite boring and I wanted to get back in the game! To that end, I formed a development and consulting company called Navegante, which is Latin for navigator.

Our first major opportunity came when the government of Ontario, Canada put out a public tender to develop and manage a temporary casino in Niagara Falls, Canada. There were 27 bidders including some noteworthy publicly traded gaming companies. Navegante won the bid and developed, built and managed Casino Niagara for more than two years. During our management term, Casino Niagara was considered one of the most successful casinos in the world. That was our first, but far from last, achievement — we have been busy ever since; constantly outdoing our past successes with new and old properties alike.

Our reputation of honesty and integrity has provided our company with hundreds of opportunities. We are able to pick and choose projects that are not only fun and fulfilling, but that allow us to work with great people. We bring the added
